SERIES DESCRIPTION

The Warner Electric ATC Series (Advanced Technology Clutch) shaft-mounted electromagnetic clutches are completely factory-assembled units engineered to deliver high-performance clutching directly matched to standard industrial motors, reducers, and power transmission shafts. Operating on an electromagnetic power-on engagement principle, applying DC voltage energizes the sealed magnet coil to smoothly couple the driving shaft to the output pulley, sheave, or sprocket. Featuring an Autogap™ mechanism that automatically compensates for wear, the ATC Series guarantees consistent torque transmission, repeatable engagement, and maximum operating life with minimal maintenance.

• Precision Construction: Rugged steel wear surfaces, precision cast iron components, and sealed heavy-duty bearings packed with high-temperature lubricant.
• High-Temperature UL Recognized Coil: Sealed coil design ensures long-lasting, dependable electrical operation under demanding conditions.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

1. Step 1: Determine Model Size—Cross-reference motor horsepower and operating shaft speed (RPM) on the AT Clutch HP/SS chart (Size 115 handles up to 115 lb. ft. static torque).
2. Step 2: Select Bore Size & Voltage—Verify drive shaft diameter (1″ with 1/4″ Sq. keyway) and choose matching coil operating voltage (90 VDC).
3. Step 3: Select Sheave, Pulley, or Sprocket Option—Choose a factory-matched Warner Electric standard timing belt or V-belt sheave, or machine custom drive components to pilot specifications.
4. Step 4: Choose Control & Options—Pair with an appropriate DC power supply and select optional restraining straps or conduit boxes.

• Specify Part & Model: Order using part number 5163-271-003 or model ATC-115 (1″ Bore, 90 VDC).
• Select Power Supply / Control: Select Appropriate Power Supply/Control. See the Controls Section beginning on page CTL-1.
• Optional Accessories: Standard pulleys/sheaves, restraining straps, and conduit boxes can be specified as required.
