SERIES DESCRIPTION

The Warner Electric EM Series (Electro Module) motor brake modules are individual electromagnetic units designed for direct end-mount assembly on standard C-face motors. Operating on an electromagnetic power-on engagement principle, applying DC voltage energizes the coil to clamp the friction surfaces, providing rapid stopping, holding, and cycling capabilities. They are easy to install, maintenance-free, and require no lifetime lubrication.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

1. Step 1: Match NEMA Frame Size—Select module size based on motor frame requirements (Size 210 fits 213C/182TC and 215C/184TC frames).
2. Step 2: Determine Technical Requirements—Verify required static torque and calculate thermal heat dissipation based on load inertia and cycle rates.
3. Step 3: Choose Mounting & Voltage—Select corresponding coil voltage and 20MB end-mount configuration.

• Specify Part & Model: Order using part number 5371-169-026 or model EM-210-20MB (90 VDC).
• Select Power Supply / Control: Select Appropriate Power Supply/Control. See the Controls Section beginning on page CTL-1.
• Optional Accessories: Conduit box (5370-101-042) or motor mount kit (5371-101-012) can be added as needed.
