SERIES DESCRIPTION

The Warner Electric FB Series Electrically Released Brakes use permanent magnets to provide reliable, fail-safe braking. The brake stays engaged until a specific DC voltage is applied to the coil, which creates an opposing magnetic field to release the armature.

The 5382-101-002 is the 6 VDC specialized version of the shaft adapter for the FB-375 model size. Following the Warner Electric numbering convention (5380 for 90V, 5381 for 24V), the 5382 prefix identifies this as a 6V coil system.

Key Features

  • 6V Specialized Voltage: Designed for mobile equipment, battery-operated systems, or legacy controls.
  • Autogap® Technology: No maintenance required to maintain the air gap as friction surfaces wear down over time.
  • Fast Response: Permanent magnet technology provides snap-action engagement when power is cut.
  • Bore Precision: Specifically machined for a 5/8″ motor shaft with standard keyway.

Technical Alert
This is a low-voltage 6V DC component. Ensure your power supply is regulated for 6V; using a standard 12V or 24V supply will result in immediate coil failure.
