SERIES DESCRIPTION

The Warner Electric FB Series Electrically Released Brakes utilize permanent magnets to provide fail-safe braking. The brake remains engaged until a DC voltage is applied to the electromagnetic coil, creating an opposing magnetic field that releases the armature.

The 5382-101-002 is the Shaft Adapter for the larger FB-650 model size, specifically designed to mate the brake to a 1-5/8″ motor shaft. In the FB-650/825 series, the shaft adapter is a critical component that keys the brake unit to the power transmission shaft.
