PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Warner Electric ER-1225 is a high-capacity, bulkhead flange-mounted brake designed specifically for dynamic stopping operations. It must be engaged while the shaft is in motion, ideally at speeds of 100 RPM or greater. Utilizing powerful permanent magnets, the ER-1225 provides 400 lb. ft. of static torque, the highest rating in the Warner Electric power-released family.

- Fail-Safe Design: Permanent magnets ensure the brake automatically engages when power is turned off.
- High Heat Dissipation: The segmented armature design provides superior heat dissipation for long service life in high-cycle operations.
- Pre-Burnished: Factory pre-burnished to assure rated torque immediately upon installation.
SELECTION & ORDERING
- Verify Dynamic Use: Confirm the application requires engagement at speeds of 100 RPM or greater.
- Analyze HP & Speed: Match your requirements using the Horsepower vs. Shaft Speed chart (ER-1225 covers up to 75 HP depending on RPM).
- Specify Duty: This configuration is for Normal Duty (N.D.) using Dodge #3030 bushings.
- Select Control: ER-1225 brakes require a control with a potentiometer. MCS-805-1 or -2 are recommended.
