The FB (Shaft Mounted) Series provides an optimum size to match your application requirements, with static torque capabilities ranging from 10.5 lb.ft. to 56 lb.ft. These brakes are designed to stop and hold a load in position until they are electrically released, making them ideal for elevators, conveyors, and emergency stopping devices.

Selection Procedure

1. Application: Verify frequent cycling in normal operation.
2. Requirements: Determine HP and speed at brake location.
3. Sizing: Use HP/Speed chart in manual to find frame size.
4. Bore: Specify voltage and bore size.
5. Adapters: Required for single shaft motors (see below).

How to Order

1. Specify Brake Part Number
2. Bushing: Order separately for 475 and 650.
3. Motor Adapters: Order separately for single shaft mounting. Note required brake bore:
   • FB-375: 5/8" bore
   • FB-475: 1" bore
   • FB-650: 1-3/8" bore
4. Control: Requires a control with a potentiometer.
